Dr. Alice Angney Scholarship for Leadership and Service
2021 Scholarship Application Information
Scholarship Award: One $3000 scholarship provided by the Vermont Superintendents Association. Read more about the scholarship here.
Eligibility: A high school senior whose education is publicly funded, who is a resident of Vermont and who is demonstrating a commitment to further their education after graduation.
Selection Criteria: The selected student will have demonstrated initiative in overcoming a specific challenge or challenges, leadership and service to their community as well as academic achievement.
Deadline to apply: Application Form and all accompanying documentation must be in the VSA office no later then no later than NOON, Monday, March 14, 2022.
1. Applicants need to submit two supporting letters (at least one from an adult within your high school) addressing your initiative in overcoming a specific challenge or challenges, your contributions of leadership and service, and your academic achievement. The letters of recommendation should be sent by the person writing them and either mailed to the Vermont Superintendents Association, or emailed, as a pdf to firstname.lastname@example.org
2. An official transcript must be either mailed to the Vermont Superintendents Association or emailed as a pdf from your guidance office to email@example.com.
3. Your name should appear in the subject line of all emails sent to Kristi Tate.
4. All of the required materials must be in the VSA office no later then NOON, Monday, March 15, 2021.
Application Process: Complete a hard copy application or the online application form
The successful applicant will be notified of the scholarship award during the first week in May 2022. The scholarship will be paid upon confirmation of the student’s enrollment in a post-secondary educational program.
